Measurements involves length, mass, volume, capacity, and time.
The child must be able to sequence the different measurements in respective order from largest to smallest and smallest to largest.
Estimation is also introduced and the ability to deduce the correct unit of measurement.
Furthermore they must be able to add subtract divide and multiply with respect to the different units of measurement.
Where necessary the child will need to know how to convert between different units of measurement.
As the child becomes more advanced, being able to convert between imperial and metric units will be a requirement.
With regards to length, this will be further linked to shapes and algebra, and the child must be able to deduce missing lengths on shapes using the knowledge they gain from learning about measurements.
