The child must be able to:
YEAR 3:
- Count from 0 to 1000
- Count from 0 to 1000 in 4s, 8s, 50s, and 100s
- Place value of units, tens, and hundreds
- Basic sequences
- Add 3 digit numbers via column method
- Subtract 3 digit numbers via column method
- 4 and 8 multiplication tables
- Be able to divide with the new multiplication tables
- Add and subtract fractions with the same denominator
- Order fractions from smallest to biggest and biggest to smallest
YEAR 4:
- Count in 6s, 7s, 9s, 25s, 1000s
- Round numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 1000
- Introduce negative numbers
- Roman numerals up to 100
- Add and subtract numbers up to 4 digits long
- Know all multiplication tables up to 12
- Know how to divide by inverse multiplication up to 12
- Multiply 3 digit numbers
YEAR 5:
- Read write and put numbers in order of up to a million
- Round numbers up to hundred thousandth place value
- Roman numerals up to 1000
- Add and subtract numbers of 4 digits or more
- Multiply and divide 4 digit numbers
- Prime numbers
- Cube numbers
- Square numbers
- Factors
- Multiples
- Proper and mixed fractions
- add, and subtract fractions
- Convert fractions into decimals and percentages
YEAR 6:
- Read and write numbers up to 10 million
- Calculations with negative numbers
- Multiply a 4 digit number by a 2 digit number
- Mental maths with multiple operations and large numbers
- BIDMAS
- Add, multiply, divide, and subtract fractions
- Ratio and proportion
