Handling data is all to do with representing any data collected from experiments or tests or whatever the scenario is and representing the data in the form of a graph or chart.

A lot of the time it is used in conjunction with other topics in Maths for example money. The scenario could be ‘a group of 24 students picked their favourite coin’… the results are given to the student, and their task would be to organise the results using the appropriate chart.
